Dark skies made the crowd of 12000 at Tungelund Idrætspark a little nervous, but the rain held off. Kurt Halldorsson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ricardo Barroso and Juan Gildardo Briones. Tungelund decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The FCGulf fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The visitors' A. Tipei took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 12 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for FCGulf. By now, the players in FCGulf felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Flender from FCGulf a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 28 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Tungelund were forced into a substitution as L. Ove couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing E. Ellingsen to come in off the bench. With 33 minutes having been played, his teammates looked on in disbelief as N. Secher thoughtlessly misplayed the ball, setting up FCGulf's A. Tipei for an easy goal. 0 - 4. After 34 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for C. Yalın who increased FCGulf's lead to 0 - 5. There was concern in the stands when, at the 35 minute mark, FCGulf's T. Stutzbach hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Proving his experience, C. Malvezzi scored 0 - 6 for FCGulf after putting some pressure on the opposing defence at a critical moment. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by L. Vester. At last, Tungelund's E. Ellingsen was able to backheel the ball in. 1 - 6. With 39 minutes played, FCGulf put themselves up 1 - 7 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was C. Yalın. It was 1 - 7 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to FCGulf, who controlled the ball 81 percent of the time.

The home crowd was not impressed when C. Sacharof came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 52 minutes. FCGulf were now up 1 - 8. After 54 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Sacharof a chance to increase the lead for FCGulf, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 9. With 55 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed A. Tipei of FCGulf to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 10. This third goal completed a hattrick for A. Tipei. C. Yalın of FCGulf took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 61 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 11. At that, C. Yalın was noted down for a hat trick! Tungelund's E. Ellingsen got himself booked for a foul. P. Koppel was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so FCGulf's J. Boumans had to come off the bench. The FCGulf captaincy was handed to J. Boumans. 65 minutes into the match, A. Tipei came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. FCGulf claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 85 percent.

Most important Tungelund player was C. Søndergaard. However, S. Rosenø made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating FCGulf player was without a doubt C. Sacharof. On the other hand, D. Levnaic's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 11.
