Dark skies made the crowd of 6949 at Devils Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Ivan Ballosera was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Håkan Zetterér and Kent Yngvesson. Frederiksberg tactics involved an interesting 5-2-3 combination. They fielded: Lydholm - Magnusson, Ravnsbæk, Krag, Aastrup, Markussen - Kjems, Jacobsen - Gandrup, Heilesen, Hallum.

He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Some fine movement on the left led to a Drigstrup goal after 36 minutes, making it 0 - 2. F. Poulsen was noted down as the scorer. The home crowd cheered when, after 38 minutes, P. Gedsø's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Drigstrup, with 67 percent of the ball.

Drigstrup's A. Håkansson was shown a yellow card after 71 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 78 minutes into the match, T. Bundgaard came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Drigstrup's T. Bundgaard left the field after 83 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was M. Riber. The referee signalled a penalty 84 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. L. Nielsen knocked it home to make the score 0 - 3. The visitors' M. Riber took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 88 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Drigstrup. After 88 minutes, Drigstrup's F. Poulsen burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. The players of Drigstrup now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Possession in this half belonged to Drigstrup, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

C. Hallum performed admirably for Frederiksberg. A. Magnusson on the other hand, had a terrible day. Drigstrup's best player was P. Gedsø. F. Juul turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 5.
