It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 12000 that came out to hardrijders Arena. Markus Tujula was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jose María Geiler and Danilo Boldizzoni. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for hardrijders. They fielded: Vijfschaft - van der Hoop, Niëns, Hassert, Sligte - Cornelissen, Franken, Verkuil, Heuvels - Troost, de Feijter.

Koren had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: bin Hj Uking - Hals, Rosa, Roşioru, Aras - Cutrupi, Katzburg, Marascalchi, Della Rosa - Lembo, Lagido.

Koren took a creative approach on the field. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 9 minutes into the match, and O. Marascalchi wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. After 13 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave G. Lembo a chance to increase the lead for Koren, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. With 19 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed L. Lagido of Koren to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. The home crowd was not impressed when O. Marascalchi came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 21 minutes. Koren were now up 0 - 4. By now, the players in Koren felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 37 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as P. Della Rosa finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The sun seemed to put G. Verkuil in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. A drive down the left side allowed A. Rosa to get in close and score another goal for Koren after 39 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 6. 0 - 6 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Koren, who controlled the ball 85 percent of the time.

N. Katzburg of Koren seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 7 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by I. Hals. Given a free kick close to the byline, Koren tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let P. Aras slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 8, 57 minutes into the game. Koren's L. Lagido got himself booked for a foul. Koren increased their lead after 61 minutes when P. Aras broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 9, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 62 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Koren found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. 71 minutes into the game, E. Niëns had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came D. Willink. As usual, P. Della Rosa tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. N. Katzburg increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 10. hardrijders's O. Hassert left the field after 83 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was S. Noordhoek. With 84 minutes played, Koren put themselves up 0 - 11 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was P. Della Rosa. A. Rosa left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 89 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. F. Wunsch was the replacement. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Koren coach let S. Petta replace G. Lembo after 89 minutes. The Koren captaincy was handed to S. bin Hj Uking. The coach of Koren was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 89 minutes, C. Giraud came on for T. Roşioru. Koren enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 83 percent of possession.

Most important hardrijders player was G. Verkuil. T. de Feijter on the other hand, had a terrible day. Koren's best player was N. Katzburg. F. Cutrupi turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 11.
