previous 8/10 next 10/10  SUOMI 0 - 6 Nobby (380398539)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 14570 had shown up at SUOMI IF Arena for the match. Nyikadzino Katiyo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nikos Fantridis and Andrey Semchenko. SUOMI started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Westerin - Olsson, Robertsson, Kihlstrand - Ericsson, Saareleht, Karoliussen, Cagnard, Oskarsson - Alrøe, Henriksson.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Nobby. Starters: Poclid - Ramajo, Costa Manso, Reichelt - Kerkopoulos, Immervoll, Wennbrant, Hainzl - Berkovic, Balantzategi, Métay.

SUOMI were relying on their ability to counter-attack. 11 minutes into the game, P. Kerkopoulos almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. M. Ericsson of SUOMI received a yellow card after 14 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The terraces were silenced after 24 minutes when Nobby's A. Reichelt put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. Métay got himself booked. The manager of Nobby was not happy. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Nobby, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

K. Immervoll received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 56 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Nobby fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. D. Ramajo of Nobby took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 57 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3. The game was close to savage at times, and SUOMI's M. Ericsson received a second yellow card after 65 minutes; his ticket out of the game. A. Berkovic wanted to play on, but the Nobby coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 68 minutes into the game by R. Goey. After 74 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Métay a chance to increase the lead for Nobby, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. The visitors' E. Wennbrant took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 81 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Nobby. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Nobby lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 83 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Nobby on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by K. Immervoll to make it 0 - 6. Nobby's K. Immervoll was shown a yellow card after 86 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Nobby had most of the ball, with 71 percent of possession.

The most dominating SUOMI player was without a doubt R. Alrøe. However, R. Kihlstrand made a disastrous appearance. Most important Nobby player was A. Costa Manso. R. Goey turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
