Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Carbonero FC. Arena saw a crowd turnout of 11696.
Carlos Corvalán was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sérgio Meireles and
Jean-Charles Jason.
Carbonero decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.

Starters: Pierrard - Fassiolo, Almodóvar, Domínguez, Moes - Menéndez, Gaya, Sánchez, Valdéz - Varini, Giménez.
After 8 minutes, Globo put themselves up 0 - 1, as
R. Gaya finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot.
L. Menéndez received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 9 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Globo fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
With 26 minutes played, Globo put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
O. Sánchez.
Confident in their lead, Globo's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
After 33 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
R. Gaya a chance to increase the lead for Globo, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4.
The visitors'
W. Almodóvar took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 35 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Globo.
One of many good crosses from
G. Valdéz on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
J. Varini, who scored for Globo. 0 - 6
Always quick and a menace to his opponents,
L. Menéndez was very close to getting through after 37 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms.
Globo increased their lead after 39 minutes when
J. Varini broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay.
It was 0 - 7 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Globo, with 78 percent of the ball.
Speedy
G. Valdéz tried one of his patented rushes 47 minutes into the game, but
P. López was just as fast and averted the attack.
The home crowd was not impressed when
W. Almodóvar came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 50 minutes. Globo were now up 0 - 8.
W. Almodóvar increased Globo's lead to 0 - 9 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner.
At that,
W. Almodóvar was noted down for a hat trick!
W. Almodóvar increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 10.
After 75 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
W. Almodóvar to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 11.
Possession in this half belonged to Globo, who controlled the ball 80 percent of the time.
Most important Carbonero player was
P. Sciutto.
However,
M. Peña made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating Globo player was without a doubt
M. Pierrard.
On the other hand,
J. Moes's play was disheartening.
