A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 13623 to Nevermores Arena.. Frank Meyenn was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Diego Pasero and Ferhat Ayşan. Nevermores decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Burdizzo - Peirone, Falsaperla, Pereyra, Araluce - Sanfilippo, Martin, Winograd, Lucato - Xavier, Lee.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Caos. The following players had been chosen: Häring - Scopelli, Romero, Oriana - Alonso, Peñas, Westarp, Varela, Bosque - Basso, Persson.

Nevermores focused on getting players in position for long range shots. Caos clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 3 minutes into the match left Caos's H. Westarp completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Caos's S. Persson was shown a yellow card after 26 minutes for slicing down an opponent. P. Winograd's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Nevermores, he bravely continued in the match. With 29 minutes played, Caos put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was D. Varela. After 39 minutes Caos's D. Bosque contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. 41 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as D. Varela finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. S. Persson received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 42 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Caos fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The players of Caos now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when G. Xavier tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. D. Häring was too alert for that! 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Caos, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

Had it not been for one of the home defenders, A. Basso would have put Caos up another goal 72 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. 74 minutes into the game, H. Alonso had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came I. Rodríguez. Caos's H. Westarp was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 75 minutes. D. Varela found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. S. Persson was, after 81 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper N. Burdizzo made the save. I. Rodríguez came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over N. Burdizzo but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. At 84 minutes into the game, Nevermores's B. Lee deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 4. It wasn't a good day at all for V. Peirone. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Caos, with 61 percent of the ball.

Nevermores's best player was B. Lee. P. Winograd on the other hand, had a terrible day. Caos's top performer was clearly D. Varela. O. Scopelli was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
