CAP 2 - 0 Blaster
(380486098)

14-06-2012 01.30
23672 spectators arrived at
la caja de zapato, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Gregor Löwensprung was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Waldo Baumgartner-Klötzner and
Kosta Merdović.
CAP tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
Starters: Minervino - Sánchez, Röllig, Béjar - Mollard, Valentini, Cesarini, Orloff - Kinsbergen, Ferraro, Mihman.
Blaster started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Liberatori - Pochettino, Zanier, Alesso, Jandera - Bevz, Sinisaari, Sabaté, Tieber - Platengold, Palma.
CAP immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents.
CAP's
M. Cesarini tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders.
With 12 minutes played,
A. Mihman of CAP fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
The referee showed CAP's
A. Orloff the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Blaster were forced into a substitution as
A. Jandera couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
H. Di Bernardo to come in off the bench.
It was 0 - 0 at the break.
CAP enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.
A. Mihman gave CAP the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
With the clock showing 59 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Blaster resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
L. Pochettino in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
After 74 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
S. Mollard might have resulted in another goal for CAP. However,
J. Liberatori made a spectacular save.
The crowd was amused as
E. Alesso of Blaster used a few interesting tricks and dribbles to get into the penalty box. The finish by
Z. Tieber wasn't very amusing, however, as the ball flew way over the crossbar.
S. Kinsbergen's speed was clear to see after 83 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released
A. Mihman who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 2 - 0.
After this, you could see that the players of CAP were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
A. Orloff of CAP got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game.
CAP claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
The most dominating CAP player was without a doubt
U. Valentini.
N. Minervino on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Blaster's best player was
L. Pochettino.
However,
H. Di Bernardo made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 2 - 0.
