Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 14535 to delincuents stadium. Rudy Overdijk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Danni Andie Jensen and Pekka Liikala. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Lima derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. delincuents had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. delincuents's S. Hyata got himself booked for a foul. delincuents's J. Oyama startled G. Aliaga with an unexpected pass. Unfortunately, the receiver was too stunned by the play to convert the perfect setup into a goal. After 25 minutes, 1337 put themselves up 0 - 1, as O. Thorndike finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. 26 minutes in, delincuents's Y. Hasekura received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A. Desgurb of 1337 was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 29 minutes into the match, the speedy O. Thorndike easily outpaced O. Mesías, chipped the keeper and made the score 0 - 2. P. Hizurun received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 31 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The 1337 fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. At this point, it was obvious that the players of 1337 lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A. Desgurb received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 42 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. With the scoreboard showing that 43 minutes had been played, 1337 nearly put themselves up another goal after E. Arias came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. After the ball was lifted in from the left, L. Chávez was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 44 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. 1337's O. Thorndike made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 44 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. 1337 had most of the ball, with 92 percent of possession.

With 49 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed L. Chávez of 1337 to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 4. The corner kick from L. Bustamante was powerfully met by the head of A. Desgurb to make the score 0 - 5. After 51 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed L. Chávez to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6. delincuents's J. Oyama was shown a yellow card after 58 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 64 minutes into the game, 1337 worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. 70 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 7 as O. Thorndike finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. By then O. Thorndike had scored three goals - a hat trick! K. Miyake of 1337 took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 73 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 8. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by 1337, with 94 percent of the ball.

J. Oyama performed admirably for delincuents. However, R. Sakurada made a disastrous appearance. 1337's best player was P. Del Águila. L. Chávez turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
