(380501511)

12-06-2012 19.15
Clear skies welcomed the 727 spectators who had made their way to
Wedra Stadium.
Manolios Apalidis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Antun Kurta and
Mosè Milasi.
Dinamo had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
They fielded: Gatlik - Drewnik, Giovine - Orsino, De Cecco, Sköld, Vergori, Jirgensons - Colom, Blanco, Rohrhofer.
Kings decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Starters: Krievs - Rohgahn, Praschma, Navratil, 才良 (Cailiang) - Fonseca Ramos, Melchior, Helminen, Jouve - Terragni, Vopelius.
Dinamo were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
It was an obvious ambition of Kings to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
It was obvious that Dinamo had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
Dinamo could have put themselves ahead after 9 minutes but
M. Colom missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right.
G. Jirgensons's lightning pace was too much for
J. Helminen who could only look on as the Dinamo player blasted one home. 1 - 0.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 33 minute mark, Dinamo's
H. Rohrhofer hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
G. Orsino could have increased the lead after 34 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
C. Vopelius really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by
C. Jouve after a corner.
Kings had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
After 37 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 1 - 1 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by
C. Vopelius.
After 40 minutes Kings's
C. Jouve limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
1 - 1 was the halftime score.
Dinamo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.
50 minutes into the game,
S. Navratil almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
Kings's
T. Praschma managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 85 minutes. 1 - 2.
Kings claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
The most dominating Dinamo player was without a doubt
R. Blanco.
L. De Cecco on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important Kings player was
J. Helminen.
On the other hand,
K. Krievs's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 2.
