It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 27579 that came out to
UKFC.
Maurício Silva was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Agnaldo Paes and
Rahim Makhmalbaf.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for UKFC.
The following players had been chosen: Labrenz - Tufariello, Caputo, Canto - Hồng Kiên, Phúc Chu, Sotgia, Văn Thà - Diefenbach, Barata Pereira, Lecart.
ThieuGiaFC tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Lineup: Momirović - Pajuniemi, La Rotta, Fuglsig, Reithmayer - Wieland, Baldini, Grégoire, Fanopoulos - Endrizzi, Hiệp.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of ThieuGiaFC's
C. Grégoire after 9 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
After 21 minutes,
C. Tufariello got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away.
23 minutes into the match, UKFC's
C. Diefenbach demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to
S. Barata Pereira who chipped it in for 1 - 1.
UKFC had a good opportunity to take the lead as
C. Diefenbach came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
M. Momirović.
The terraces were silenced after 30 minutes when ThieuGiaFC's
Đ. Hiệp put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right.
A. Fuglsig enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again.
35 minutes in, and UKFC were able to score the equalising goal to make it 2 - 2 when
D. Sotgia picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper.
It was 2 - 2 at the break.
UKFC had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.
With 53 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 3 - 2 lead as
S. Barata Pereira flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
D. Sotgia could have increased the lead after 67 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
UKFC's
S. Barata Pereira was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 75 minutes.
UKFC were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 76 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by
D. Sotgia. 4 - 2 for the home side.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by UKFC, with 56 percent of the ball.
UKFC's top performer was clearly
T. Lecart.
E. Canto turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important ThieuGiaFC player was
Đ. Hiệp.
On the other hand,
C. Grégoire's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 2.
