United were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 68 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to C. Vedhayanto had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. There was concern in the stands when, at the 84 minute mark, United's P. Kristiawan hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. United had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 86 minutes in when F. Yani came up alone against T. Wabia who managed a block. YOGYAKARTA had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

YOGYAKARTA's best player was A. Supeno. T. Wabia was a disappointment, however. United's top performer was clearly F. Yani. On the other hand, T. Fatah's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 3.
