The crowd of 41406 turning up at Cetate - Victoria today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Sebastian Birkelund was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Prokop Podola and Dennis Lösche. SUB started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Florescu - Dărăban, Huf, Makiewicz, Zadzielski - Ene, Rosu, Iliescu, Costache, Ivanov - Dragoescu.

Suspecte tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. They fielded: Gurgu - Gallón, Nessing - Jaume, Maier, Boterman, Stoica, Hajnoš - Croitoru, Scharmer, Walker.

Suspecte saw most attack opportunities on the wings. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to C. Ene, but the SUB player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! SUB's E. Rosu got himself booked for a foul. The rain made it hard for players like N. Hajnoš to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. L. Dragoescu of SUB seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 2 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by F. Zadzielski. Cheers filled the stadium as L. Dragoescu broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to SUB. The home team's fans were not happy with the visitors' T. Croitoru's great free kick that resulted in Suspecte reducing the score to 3 - 1. The referee showed SUB's P. Makiewicz the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. F. Zadzielski's curling free kick almost found the goal for SUB, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. SUB claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

SUB's L. Dragoescu increased the lead to 4 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 66 minutes. This third goal completed a hattrick for L. Dragoescu. SUB's H. Huf saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 78 minutes. SUB managed to extend their lead to 5 - 1 when E. Rosu cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. By now, the players in SUB felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by SUB, with 53 percent of the ball.

SUB's best player was L. Dragoescu. However, F. Zadzielski made a disastrous appearance. T. Croitoru performed admirably for Suspecte. D. Gurgu on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 1.
