The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Onzina, the score now 1 - 0. Onzina's slick passing moves completely confused the defence after 9 minutes, but thanks to F. Pălăcean's miraculous save from G. Mininni's long shot the score remained unchanged. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 19 minutes, K. Lund broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. V. Vyunkov made a great block, though. Some beautiful play by Onzina set up J. Heikura in a good shooting position after 22 minutes, but F. Pălăcean made a great save on the low hard shot. C. Verreth could have put Onzina up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 24 minutes. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Onzina enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

The score became 2 - 0 at 47 minutes into the game, when Onzina were given a penalty which J. Roland blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! Onzina's E. Çıra was shown a yellow card after 50 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The Onzina coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 52 minutes into the game. C. Buzdugan had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper V. Vyunkov was simply unbeatable. E. Çıra wanted to play on, but the Onzina coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 69 minutes into the game by A. Würsig. Onzina's J. Heikura got himself booked for a foul. Linii were able to mount several counterattacks, such as the impressive one after 79 minutes, but K. Dünninger lofted a free kick over the crossbar. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave C. Verreth from Onzina a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 81 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The intense heat forced B. Metra into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

Onzina's top performer was clearly C. Verreth. On the other hand, V. Vyunkov's play was disheartening. Most important Linii player was K. Dünninger. F. Pălăcean turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 0.
