Săndulescu increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 26 minutes. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Steelers, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

Steelers increased the lead as E. Dumitru struck to make the score 5 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The players of Steelers now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Lupea made a spectacular save. The Steelers players could smell victory in the air. E. Niţu wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for N. Aaby after 83 minutes. The coach of Steelers was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 85 minutes, D. Tutunea came on for I. Marcu. Steelers enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Steelers's best player was G. Abrain. D. Tutunea turned in a dismal performance, however. R. Rusu performed admirably for Apullum. D. Teodorescu on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 6 - 0.
