(380778918)

21-07-2012 10.00
It had rained all day, but 41459 hardy fans still made it out to
Arena Sporting Rosiori.
Arnold Stille was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Vittorio Bangerter and
Carlos Ribalta.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Sporting.
Starters: Bratchyk - Dragomir, Frunză, Samoilescu - Călin, Kammier, Hewitt, Ciortan - Cerpelloni, Röbel, Folea.
F.C. decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
The following players took the field: 敬欣 (Jingxin) - Klimczewski, Iftimoaie, Iacob - Diano, Scanavini, Ifrim, Turrini - Stan, Paraschiv, Stana.
F.C. mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Sporting were very close to putting themselves one up after 18 minutes as
R. Ciortan got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
Sporting had a good opportunity to take the lead as
M. Hewitt came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
邱. 敬欣 (Jingxin).
After 24 minutes,
I. Frunză came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Sporting the lead.
F.C. had to manage with a reduced squad after 26 minutes, as
E. Diano got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action.
D. Kammier of Sporting had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game.
M. Amaral came in to finish the match.
M. Klimczewski did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch.
I. Frunză could have increased the lead after 41 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
After 42 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
M. Amaral gave the Sporting supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0.
2 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Sporting, with 82 percent of the ball.
C. Stan's lightning pace was too much for
I. Frunză who could only look on as the F.C. player blasted one home. 2 - 1.
R. Ciortan increased the lead for Sporting to 3 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Sporting's
M. Hewitt increased the lead to 4 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 70 minutes.
After this, you could see that the players of Sporting were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
73 minutes in, F.C.'s
P. Turrini received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
R. Stana didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain.
D. Röbel had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today.
After 83 minutes,
A. Cerpelloni put Sporting ahead 5 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Sporting put themselves up 6 - 1 when
M. Amaral broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Possession in this half belonged to Sporting, who controlled the ball 82 percent of the time.
M. Amaral performed admirably for Sporting.
D. Röbel was a disappointment, however.
F.C.'s best player was
D. Paraschiv.
A. Scanavini on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 6 - 1.
