A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 43858 to
Stormblåst Stadium.
Raúl Alberto Blanco was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Norbert Buil and
Perry van der Molen.
All of

The visiting

The sun seemed to put
B. Regensburg in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long.
The crowd roared in delight as
I. Wissingen finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Torpil 40 minutes into the match. 1 - 1.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
M. Rzońca from Hajduk a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 42 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
After 44 minutes of play,

2 - 1 was the halftime score.
Torpil enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

After 54 minutes Hajduk's
B. Corneanu limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.

59 minutes in, Hajduk's
G. Fois received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
K. Winderhitzer could have put Torpil up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 62 minutes.
The intense heat forced
L. van Olphen into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others.
After 75 minutes,
S. Grohe put Torpil ahead 4 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
The home side's
M. Sommerer came close to extending the lead 81 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
R. Van Wonterghem managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
Hajduk's
F. Józefacki got himself booked for a foul.
Torpil claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
Most important Torpil player was
B. Regensburg.
K. Suess was a disappointment, however.
Hajduk's best player was
