Campelo attacked down the left wing, but F. Colomeda just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Dragons, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

With 46 minutes played, the Dragons coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. N. Wolfensperger came on, C. Cerveira had to leave the fray. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Dragons's J. Hunal was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. M. Guzik was given a chance to change things around. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 49 minutes, Dragons did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, M. Bălae made a spectacular save. VASULUI's C. Petrea was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 79 minutes. Dragons's M. Guzik had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 80 minutes having been played. R. Constantin was the replacement. C. Popovici was called on to replace VASULUI's B. Santamaria after 82 minutes following a nasty collision. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Dragons, with 54 percent of the ball.

VASULUI's top performer was clearly F. Colomeda. C. Petrea turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Dragons player was without a doubt I. Dorobăţ. However, R. Constantin made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
