Agaricii 0 - 4 Prabusita (380782608)

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 44565 to Agaricii Arena. Argiris Dogkanos was the appointed referee. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Agaricii. Starters: Ciubuc - Ghiţă, Călin, Lazăr - Cristea, Suruceanu, Ivanov, Butnaru, Dragnea - Cotoi, Vasile.

Prabusita tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Nicolae - Roest, Posada, Karancı - Kriegbaum, Melgar, Spirin, Barzagli, D'hondt - Tutoveanu, Strâmbu.

Prabusita's C. Tutoveanu could have put the guests one up after 6 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but V. Ciubuc was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. The visiting W. Roest was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 9 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave X. D'hondt from Prabusita a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 10 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Unfortunately for Agaricii, P. Ivanov was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. B. Ciofu replaced him. X. D'hondt of Prabusita took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 24 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. Prabusita came close to extending their lead as N. Spirin delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 34 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Ş. Karancı could have put his team up another goal 43 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. C. Tutoveanu's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 43 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to D. Strâmbu who knocked it in for Prabusita. 0 - 3! After 44 minutes, Prabusita's D. Strâmbu burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. By now, the players in Prabusita felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Prabusita claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Agaricii had a magnificent opportunity after 54 minutes as C. Suruceanu hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. After 61 minutes, Agaricii used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. The Agaricii players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. C. Tutoveanu didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. After the ball was lifted in from the left, D. Strâmbu was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 70 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. M. Călin looked like he could fly, as he rose high to head the ball. Unfortunately for Agaricii, the ball went just barely wide. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 73 minutes, Agaricii tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Prabusita, with 52 percent of the ball.

Most important Agaricii player was R. Vasile. However, B. Ciofu made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Prabusita player was without a doubt D. Strâmbu. On the other hand, J. Kriegbaum's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 4.
