The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 25368 had shown up at
STUPUL DE ALBINE for the match.
Kaspar Altmann was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mathias Rosemeier and
Joerg Riechelmann.
PHYXIUS decided to use a 5-5-0 set up.
Starters: Lucescu - Popescu, Apăvăloaei, Deac, Luşcan, Tassani - Chicinaş, Norocea, Petri, Mândru, Bană -.
A.S.A. started off with a 5-3-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Fernández - Udvardy, Petronits, Kostenoglou, Gaude, Sørensen - Mejzr, Seelhofer, Baehni - Cozma, Anculia.
PHYXIUS mostly relied on their long range shooting ability.
A.S.A. demonstrated their creative tactics on the field.

A.S.A.'s
C. Cozma was shown a yellow card after 18 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
R. Udvardy of A.S.A. received a yellow card after 29 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
C. Cozma after 33 minutes, and prevented A.S.A. from going up another goal.
34 minutes in, PHYXIUS's
F. Popescu received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
After 35 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
N. Anculia to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of A.S.A. lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.

Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by A.S.A., with 66 percent of the ball.
With 66 minutes played,
A. Kostenoglou nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
After 73 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by A.S.A. was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
Against a lesser team, A.S.A. could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 75 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
A.S.A. claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.
Most important PHYXIUS player was
I. Tassani.
However,
L. Norocea made a disastrous appearance.
A.S.A.'s best player was
C. Cozma.
N. Anculia was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 4.
