It had rained all day, but 36693 hardy fans still made it out to Colentina Stadium. Dejan Renevey was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Maurizio Büchner and Hardo Villems. Vochin of StriKers displayed some of his fantastic technical abilities when he brought the ball down neatly using his instep before nutmegging the bewildered S. Ruul and smashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper to make it 0 - 1. StriKers's S. Vannitsen was shown a yellow card after 37 minutes for slicing down an opponent. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 40 minutes played, A. Robu of Inter made the score 1 - 1. They were singing the praises of W. Drygała 41 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Inter. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Inter claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

After 48 minutes, Inter's R. Vivar Díaz surprised everyone as he managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 3 - 1. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 52 minutes, Inter did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, W. Drygała was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 4 - 1. With 53 minutes played, I. Angelescu of StriKers fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Cheers filled the stadium as A. Robu broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 1 to Inter. The players of Inter now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. StriKers's R. Mateaş got himself booked for a foul. After 71 minutes StriKers's G. Dumitru contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. A. Danza looked like he could fly, as he rose high to head the ball. Unfortunately for Inter, the ball went just barely wide. After 83 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and D. Catană gave the Inter supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 6 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave V. Tudor from Inter a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 84 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! StriKers's I. Angelescu went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Inter coach let F. Shakkak replace R. Vivar Díaz after 88 minutes. Inter enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

Inter's top performer was clearly A. Robu. S. Ruul turned in a dismal performance, however. StriKers's best player was N. Trifu. On the other hand, R. Fürfelder's play was disheartening. The match ends 6 - 1.
