The 31637 spectators at 7Star Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Hans Trummi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tobi Haubitz and Aart Crijnen. Broge broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. 8 minutes in, 7Star's L. Avram received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. J. Costabile came close to levelling the score 25 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. J. Riihiluoma finished off the counterattack of 7Star from the left rather easily, making the score 2 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of 7Star lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 27 minutes into the match, bogdansteaua replied and reduced the lead to 2 - 1. B. Ellwart scored on a marvellous cross pass coming in from the left. After 30 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by L. Avram might have resulted in another goal for 7Star. However, P. Johnsrud made a spectacular save. G. Lazăr enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Players in bogdansteaua heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. J. Costabile finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 2 - 2 36 minutes into the match. bogdansteaua had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. The guests took the lead 38 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in H. Stamate scoring to make it 2 - 3. Good work by the 7Star defensive line after 42 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found J. Riihiluoma alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. It was 2 - 3 at the break. bogdansteaua enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

After 56 minutes bogdansteaua's B. Moriglia contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. bogdansteaua's B. Ellwart made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 62 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, R. Constantinescu got himself booked. The manager of 7Star was not happy. The coach of bogdansteaua was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, F. Ramos-Argüelles came on for B. Ellwart. The bogdansteaua players could smell victory in the air. G. Drăgan wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for I. Schum after 75 minutes. J. Jacquet left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 75 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. H. Cualedro was the replacement. M. Garategui found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. V. Melinte charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for 7Star, but the shot went well wide of the goal. bogdansteaua claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

7Star's best player was D. Popescu. J. Brunel was a disappointment, however. The most dominating bogdansteaua player was without a doubt A. Fagerberg. However, I. Schum made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 3.
