It had rained all day, but 24100 hardy fans still made it out to AnGeLs Arena. Valter Marek was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Arnaud Petitot and Maikel Vandenabbeele. AnGeLs used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Luptator were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. A. Oliveira Matias, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. 24 minutes into the game, E. Grasu had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Good work by the AnGeLs defensive line after 25 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found M. Tenorio Castilla alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. AnGeLs's V. Petrescu got himself booked for a foul. 38 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for AnGeLs to take the lead after a good cross from the right found J. Popa alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave X. Caamaño from Luptator a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 40 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! It was 0 - 0 at the break. AnGeLs claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

AnGeLs's J. Popa tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. 66 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Luptator's X. Caamaño received his second yellow card and was sent off. R. Codrean received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 73 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by AnGeLs, with 54 percent of the ball.

Most important AnGeLs player was V. Petrescu. C. Ricciardi was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Luptator player was without a doubt V. Constantin. J. Urbina Gauna turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 0.
