A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 18044 to
SCOIK.
Jurren Klein Heerenbrink was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dani Cojocaru and
Benito Grandolfo.
scoik started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Bibaut - Justesen, Honus, Kretschmann - Gerlich, Chaparris, Micozzi, Mózes, Vihnalík - Cagliostro, Fejt.
VOINESARII had chosen a strategic 5-2-3 formation.
Starters: Steiger - Serrano-Suñer, Schneebeli, Leshtarski, Pribysh, Spinola - Risum, Purchała - Légrády, Wittmer, Galashevich.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of VOINESARII.
Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile
K. Leshtarski.
scoik could have put themselves ahead after 8 minutes but
H. Gerlich missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 20 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from

G. Micozzi found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 2 - 0.

scoik claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 84 percent.
After 56 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
C. Cagliostro gave the scoik supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0.
After this, you could see that the players of scoik were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as scoik scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
H. Gerlich after 61 minutes.
G. Zafferri was called on to replace scoik's
T. Justesen after 63 minutes following a nasty collision.
scoik's
B. Mózes had an excellent opportunity after 72 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
M. Fejt unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
L. Galashevich knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 5 - 1 after 76 minutes.
Unsportsmanlike behaviour by
T. Wittmer rendered him his second booking of the match, and VOINESARII had to finish the game with a reduced squad.
G. Zafferri should probably have put his team up another goal after 81 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
E. Steiger kept the visitors in the game.
scoik enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 86 percent of possession.
scoik's best player was
G. Micozzi.
G. Zafferri on the other hand, had a terrible day.
