Marinello got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Slack defending gave Pibe a chance to take the lead with 33 minutes played, but F. Arno's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pibe, with 70 percent of the ball.

F.C. mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 59 minutes, but M. Babača was unable to convert from short range. B. Cârlan behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 63 minutes as he gave the ball away to L. Kaderjak. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. C. Léonard would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. M. Serafim entered the game for F.C. as the match clock showed 65 minutes. 66 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Pibe substitution. W. Yong Chi came on for F. Boeru. Coming in from the right, F.C. had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 72 minutes, but D. Rine's attempt to finish was easily stopped. After a fine move down the middle F. Arno nearly gave the home side a goal after 77 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. 80 minutes into the game, F.C. wanted to bring some new energy to their game. B. Mocanu gave S. Pylypenko a quick hug as he left the field. Pibe enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

Pibe's best player was C. Marinello. B. Cârlan on the other hand, had a terrible day. T. Greavu performed admirably for F.C.. On the other hand, S. Pylypenko's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 0.
