previous 4/4 next 2/4  white 1 - 1 ASZ (380817850)

19522 spectators had found their way to white dove Arena, despite the heavy rain. José Ferro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lucjan Sajdok and Arnold Hausner. white decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Olori - Bernobi, Fernández Daza, Batin - Blandin, Balaci, Danciu, Šežikas, Delaroque - Türk, Olăraşu.

ASZ had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Kalmus - Licu, Pospisil, Sturz, Ciubotaru - Nuyt, Jullien, Moraru, Boland - Doesburg, Spenner.

ASZ were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. 6 minutes into the game, N. Licu almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. O. Türk was very close to giving white the lead with an ingenious free kick routine 15 minutes into the match, but the ball just grazed the bar. V. Balaci slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 39 minutes into the match, and R. Moraru wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. 40 minutes into the match, white's A. Batin maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. white had a good opportunity to take the lead as V. Balaci came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of J. Kalmus. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by white, with 59 percent of the ball.

ASZ's D. Boland got himself booked for a foul. Slack defending gave white a chance to take the lead with 69 minutes played, but V. Balaci's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. 72 minutes into the game, ASZ wanted to bring some new energy to their game. D. Boland gave N. Meléndez a quick hug as he left the field. After 74 minutes, the ASZ coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving M. Spenner off the field. T. Hüxterdamm took his place. R. Sturz would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. M. Stajkovac entered the game for ASZ as the match clock showed 75 minutes. white enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

The most dominating white player was without a doubt M. Olăraşu. V. Balaci on the other hand, had a terrible day. ASZ's best player was K. Doesburg. On the other hand, M. Stajkovac's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 1.
