Hejazi nearly gave the home side a goal after 7 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. A well placed corner kick from D. Valenzi was followed by T. Molaro's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for focs, the score now 0 - 1. The referee showed focs's T. Molaro the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With 24 minutes played, Liderul's I. Hejazi found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. Liderul were close to equalising with a spectacular free kick by K. Tobler after 29 minutes, but R. Volpe made a great save, tipping it to a corner. 32 minutes into the match, Liderul's S. Toma maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Liderul claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

46 minutes into the game, focs wanted to bring some new energy to their game. M. Nurzyński gave L. Jänsch a quick hug as he left the field. Liderul made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left S. Drăguş completely alone with keeper R.
