The 27130 fans in attendance at Wembley were roasting in the hot sun. Cédrick Bouillon was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Carl Orening and Serapio López. Karomax demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. P. Harmeier managed to make an excellent pass from the flank, but P. López de Ayala was not as skillfull in scoring. Making his way up the middle 7 minutes into the match, A. Pricop almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert M. Toader blocked it to keep the score level. Karomax's counterattacks created a good chance for S. Spagna on the right after 8 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. Karomax's E. Illés managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 17 minutes. 0 - 1. CwA's L. Mocini almost tied things up with 18 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 19 minutes into the match, an alert L. Mocini bagged the ball for CwA, levelling the score to 1 - 1. Karomax took the lead after 23 minutes making the score 1 - 2. E. Illés placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 36 minutes played, R. Görbe of CwA made the score 2 - 2. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. CwA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

R. Berbelis would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. M. Unguraşu entered the game for Karomax as the match clock showed 60 minutes. 65 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Karomax substitution. A. Morar came on for M. Tendeng. After 73 minutes of play, R. Görbe gave the home team a 3 - 2 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Karomax needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes D. Agathanggelou made way for I. Breznyik. The heat made it a terrible day for L. Mocini, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. The home team will be cursing E. Illés for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 3 - 3 after 83 minutes. At that, E. Illés was noted down for a hat trick! CwA took the lead 85 minutes into the game by 4 - 3, as P. Harmeier elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. CwA's R. Görbe had an excellent opportunity after 87 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 88 minutes, P. López de Ayala put CwA ahead 5 - 3 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Karomax's M. Unguraşu was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 89 minutes. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by CwA, with 60 percent of the ball.

CwA's best player was L. Mocini. On the other hand, J. Fraboulet's play was disheartening. E. Illés performed admirably for Karomax. M. Unguraşu on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 3.
