It was obvious that team Poli-Iasi had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. The heat made it a terrible day for F. Achleitner, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Poli-Iasi, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. G. Lo Bartolo squirmed through their central defence after 79 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. G. Lo Bartolo had a fantastic opportunity to put Poli-Iasi up another goal 80 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Poli-Iasi claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.
