Nyby was able to even the score after 33 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Cârstea from FCSB a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 34 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A loud groan was heard from the fans of Fotbal, as V. 47 minutes into the game, R. Strużek almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The counterattacks of FCSB were deadly and 48 minutes into the game, J. Pląskowski received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 2 - 1. 54 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 2 - 2 as R. Strużek struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. Fotbal's R. Servera was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 60 minutes. Fotbal took the lead 62 minutes into the game, making the score 2 - 3 after some elegant movement down the middle. L. Jonsson was the scorer. R. Servera came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over D. Willem but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for FCSB, but O. Nyby's shot went over the bar. Fotbal enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

FCSB's best player was M. Grenovero. J. Torland was a disappointment, however. Most important Fotbal player was B. Stærk. L. Bettonte on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
