Dark skies made the crowd of 22906 at
In Ruine Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Christian Kierein was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alexander Störzer and
Fidelio Vivar.
Kaka-Maka tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Sungun - Anonim, Antinanco, Arocha, Elek - Roszczyk, Topârceanu, Carpentier, Radivojević, Pieneman - Ribadeneyra.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Spark.

Spark showed off their creative tactics.
The visiting
M. Vanpraet was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 32 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
W. van Bruggen would have put Spark up another goal 34 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing.
Kaka-Maka's
G. Antinanco put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 38 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
S. Ida from Spark a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 41 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!

P. Koch's lack of experience almost gave Kaka-Maka a goal after 60 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms.

A. Anonim's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition.
Kaka-Maka took the lead after 67 minutes as a result of
O. Pieneman's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1.

J. Roszczyk limped off the field and was replaced by

A. Sungun made a great block, though.
Kaka-Maka's
J. Ribadeneyra got himself booked for a foul.
Spark's opponents know to be wary of
S. Ida's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 87 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive!
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Kaka-Maka to 3 - 1 as
J. Ribadeneyra finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
