The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 20300 had shown up at Zizin Arena for the match. Anders Börjesson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mirko Poeschl and Józef Szoda. L. Bur came close to putting the visiting team one up 24 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but M. Cucu managed to tip the ball to a corner. Barca had to make a substitution after 31 minutes. V. Wiegmann limped off the field and was replaced by R. Gheorghe. B. Ortuño was the new captain of Barca - handed the armband by the departing player. Barca took the lead 33 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. L. Bur was the scorer. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Barca enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Some fine movement on the left led to a Barca goal after 61 minutes, making it 0 - 2. B. Buşu was noted down as the scorer. M. Androne was, after 67 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper M. Cucu made the save. I. Ilişescu came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over M. Cucu but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. I. Berce almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. I. Ilişescu was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Barca's Z. Šádek managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 0 - 3 K. Bogdan of Zizin was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Barca had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

Most important Zizin player was C. Ciuraru. P. Cucu was a disappointment, however. Barca's best player was R. Bărăitaru. R. Gheorghe on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 3.
