previous 7/10 next 9/10  Boy`s 3 - 3 DINAMO (380872368)

Clear skies welcomed the 12018 spectators who had made their way to Stanceni. Oriol Saletas was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rene Herbert Seeleitner and Carl Reckow. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Boy`s. They fielded: Steinwender - Uruş, Degler, Treschkow - Kamuthy, Beca, Albertolli, Bănceu - Orzac, Bagdžius, Brezoianu.

DINAMO tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Mininno - Calsa, Rusu, Paratore - Zandrino, Alajärvi, Ambrosioni, Beissner, Barriga Verde - Bajkiewicz, Reynisson.

Boy`s tried to focus their attacks down the middle. DINAMO used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. After 20 minutes, DINAMO put themselves up 0 - 1, as Z. Bajkiewicz finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. DINAMO's A. Calsa got himself booked for a foul. The pressing tactics used by DINAMO were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. 31 minutes into the match DINAMO's Þ. Reynisson head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. J. Treschkow of Boy`s had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. J. Elbing came in to finish the match. A well placed corner kick from L. Barriga Verde was followed by T. Rusu's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for DINAMO, the score now 0 - 2. By now, the players in DINAMO felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Boy`s, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Boy`s's F. Degler cut towards the middle after 41 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 1 - 2. E. Macabeo was called on to replace Boy`s's B. Bănceu after 43 minutes following a nasty collision. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Boy`s, with 53 percent of the ball.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Boy`s's O. Beca was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. N. Ustić was given a chance to change things around. After 52 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Boy`s found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to weak. Boy`s players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Boy`s tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Boy`s, but N. Ustić's shot went over the bar. A. Beissner increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 3. Boy`s's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 81 minutes into the match as E. Macabeo ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 2 - 3. 83 minutes in, and Boy`s were able to score the equalising goal to make it 3 - 3 when A. Bagdžius picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. Boy`s enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Most important Boy`s player was O. Orzac. On the other hand, E. Macabeo's play was disheartening. DINAMO's best player was S. Alajärvi. M. Mininno on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 3.
