(380872375)

30-06-2012 10.10
Due to an all-day shower, 11474 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Ghencea Arena.
Aaro Komulainen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Anders Tellind and
Paolo Morisod.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for AIUD.
The following players had been chosen: Krenzel - Călbază, Prahoveanu, Ţunea - Prudhomme, Mircea, Gârniţă, Mihalcea, Claesson - Mínguez, Adinolfi.
Boy`s tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Lineup: Steinwender - Degler, Treschkow, Elbing, Sharavin - Kamuthy, Beca, Albertolli, Bănceu - Orzac, Brezoianu.
Today, AIUD's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks.
It was obvious that Boy`s were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic.
The referee showed Boy`s's
G. Brezoianu the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
S. Mihalcea, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass.
Boy`s pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times.
Boy`s's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle.
AIUD took the lead 29 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
M. Adinolfi elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
Halftime score was 1 - 0.
AIUD claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.
Boy`s needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes
O. Beca made way for
N. Ustić.
The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Boy`s's coach gave
V. Cecan the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
E. Steinwender reluctantly left the field.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Boy`s's
D. Kamuthy was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 48 minutes.
E. Macabeo was given a chance to change things around.
Players in AIUD heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as AIUD scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
M. Adinolfi after 61 minutes.
After 62 minutes,
M. Adinolfi put AIUD ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
That made three goals for
M. Adinolfi and he was marked down for the hat trick.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of AIUD lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
After 81 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
T. Mircea gave the AIUD supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0.
A. Prudhomme was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace.
C. Călbază should probably have put his team up another goal after 85 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
V. Cecan kept the visitors in the game.
Possession in this half belonged to AIUD, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.
Most important AIUD player was
M. Adinolfi.
C. Călbază on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Boy`s player was without a doubt
O. Orzac.
On the other hand,
V. Cecan's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 0.
