The following players took the field: Oláh - Stecki, Celadin, Hobson - Harangi, Zaharia, Berggreen, Holešinský, Mălan - Irimie, Jalbă.

U-Cluj had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 25 minutes in when

U-Cluj's goal to make the score 0 - 1 came via a questionable penalty, but
L. Celadin struck it home without a second thought.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
M. Jalbă would have put U-Cluj up another goal 40 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing.
After 41 minutes, the defensive line of MotorSport created a counterattack through the middle that gave
V. Ştefănescu a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
0 - 1 was the halftime score.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by U-Cluj, with 63 percent of the ball.
P. Cordoş slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
59 minutes into the game, U-Cluj worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
A drive down the left side allowed
A. Mălan to get in close and score another goal for U-Cluj after 74 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2.
After 78 minutes MotorSport tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately,
E. Fiandino's shot sailed wide after his break down the right.

L. Celadin found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making U-Cluj's lead 0 - 3.
U-Cluj had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.
W. Kamoltip performed admirably for MotorSport.
However,
C. Belei made a disastrous appearance.
U-Cluj's best player was

B. Harangi was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 3.
