It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 12000 that came out to Stoian Aurel Arena. R. Mestdag received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 47 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Salonta fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Salonta were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 75 minutes, Salonta's W. Gillett burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. That made three goals for R. Mestdag and he was marked down for the hat trick. Salonta had to make a substitution after 81 minutes. W. Gillett limped off the field and was replaced by B. Bannig. A well placed corner kick from L. Bonifaz was followed by T. Tuulio's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Salonta, the score now 0 - 7. After 84 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Salonta was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. L. Bonifaz of Salonta took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 85 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 8. Salonta had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.
