A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 10745 to SEWS ARENA. Terje Johansen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bartosz Szeląg and Niv Azran. Marinel was handed the Dunarea captain's armband. Some fine movement on the left led to a Dunarea goal after 40 minutes, making it 0 - 4. V. Bâlc was noted down as the scorer. After this, you could see that the players of Dunarea were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Halftime score was 0 - 4. Dunarea had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

The visitors' M. Suciu took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 48 minutes into the match. 0 - 5 for Dunarea. C. Nenu behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 67 minutes as he gave the ball away to A. Hurubean. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. V. Bâlc of Dunarea took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 74 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 6. Dunarea increased the lead to 0 - 7 as Ş. Dragomir scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. Several players were looking tired, especially A. Beţa who gifted the opposition a goal as he lost the ball to a still energetic C. Anghel of Dunarea after 82 minutes. 0 - 8 Ş. Dragomir was, after 86 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper M. Hule made the save. R. Drăguţu of F.C. was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. A. Sclipcea increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 9. Dunarea claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 82 percent.

F.C.'s top performer was clearly R. Drăguţu. However, A. Smaranda made a disastrous appearance. Most important Dunarea player was F. Fazék. A. Alniţi was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 9.
