It was an obvious ambition of Botosani to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. C. Mindu was called on to replace Botosani's C. Schlotterbach after 11 minutes following a nasty collision. With 19 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. C. Mindu put the ball away for 0 - 1. V. Petre received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 28 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Botosani fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Confident in their lead, Botosani's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Botosani, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Botosani increased their lead after 37 minutes when C. Mindu broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. It was obvious that Botosani had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. With 39 minutes played, Botosani put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was D. Ţapu. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Vâlcu came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 40 minutes. Botosani were now up 0 - 5. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Botosani enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

Botosani had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. With 59 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed D. Ţapu of Botosani to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 6. After 64 minutes, Botosani's C. Mindu burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 7. That made three goals for C. Mindu and he was marked down for the hat trick. Players in Botosani heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. After 73 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed P. Ventura Oliveira to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 8. Botosani caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 75 minutes into the match. D. Megelea was able to finish off the move - 0 - 9. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave I. Pricop from Botosani a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 76 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! C. Mindu of Botosani took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 77 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 10. P. Soiu of As4rA received a yellow card after 80 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 81 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 11 as P. Ventura Oliveira finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Possession in this half belonged to Botosani, who controlled the ball 75 percent of the time.

As4rA's top performer was clearly Z. Debreceni. M. Gâtman turned in a dismal performance, however. P. Ventura Oliveira performed admirably for Botosani. However, C. Mindu made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 11.
