Krüger Nielsen to get in close and score another goal for Lignitul after 37 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 3. After this, you could see that the players of Lignitul were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Lignitul's R. Vişa was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - D. Guyon managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 4 after 41 minutes. With the scoreboard showing that 42 minutes had been played, Lignitul nearly put themselves up another goal after G. Krüger Nielsen came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. R. Vişa received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 44 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Lignitul fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Lignitul, with 76 percent of the ball.

After the ball was lifted in from the left, I. Niedner was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 47 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. With 57 minutes played, Lignitul put themselves up 0 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was D. Guyon. Some fine movement on the left led to a Lignitul goal after 58 minutes, making it 0 - 7. I. Niedner was noted down as the scorer. With 69 minutes gone, maye's I. Rezmiveş had to leave the pitch after talking back to the referee and receiving his second booking. 77 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 8 as C. Eymeoud finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Lignitul had most of the ball, with 79 percent of possession.

D. Mămăligan performed admirably for maye. M. Vişan was a disappointment, however. Lignitul's best player was I. Niedner. However, R. Vişa made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 8.
