Grünig could have put Agorod up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 7 minutes. A well placed corner kick from T. Blanch was followed by M. Kruiter's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Agorod, the score now 2 - 0. Golomb fought on and, after 24 minutes, G. Taubin was able to reduce the deficit to 2 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. A really bad tackle inside the penalty area 27 minutes into the match gave the referee no other choice but to award the visiting Golomb a penalty. C. Medina knocked it home. 2 - 2 The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Agorod enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Making his way up the middle 58 minutes into the match, A. Sonderegger almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert A. Refuah blocked it to keep the score level. With 73 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. R. Platt put the ball away for 2 - 3. 78 minutes into the match, D. Katz came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Golomb's Y. Bachar was shown a yellow card after 82 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Agorod, with 52 percent of the ball.

Agorod's best player was A. Aploks. On the other hand, R. Grünig's play was disheartening. A. Refuah performed admirably for Golomb. S. Pollak turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
