Dark skies made the crowd of 38888 at Blue-Court Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Joakim Michaelsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rüdiger Alker and Patrice Georges. People from all over Jerusalem had joined up for the derby. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Blue-Court. Tzora decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Persson - Repesse, Larsen, Cioboata - Akyüz, Lopez, Kolomoytsev, Hadas, Fleurence - Santoruvo, Altman.

Blue-Court were relying on their ability to counter-attack. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to B. Segre, but the Blue-Court player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Tzora's V. Cioboata had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 28 minutes having been played. A. Filchakov was the replacement. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Tzora, with 65 percent of the ball.

D. Fuentidueña's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from S. Akyüz's shot from the left 52 minutes into the match. With 53 minutes gone, V. Poberiy suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Blue-Court caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. M. Pierre wanted to play on, but the Blue-Court coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 60 minutes into the game by A. Oran. The visitors refused to give in and, after 69 minutes, M. Santoruvo evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 1 - 1 As the 80 minute mark approached, the Blue-Court coach decided it was time for a substitution. F. Krijt reluctantly made way for J. Berger on the pitch. 88 minutes into the game, R. Altman had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Coming in from the right, Blue-Court had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 89 minutes, but T. Maayan's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Tzora had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.

Blue-Court's top performer was clearly D. Fuentidueña. On the other hand, A. Oran's play was disheartening. Tzora's best player was R. Altman. A. Persson turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 1.
