The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Aboudinger's coach gave H. Käkelä the opportunity the player had been hoping for. S. Vondel reluctantly left the field. Against a lesser team, Hapoel could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 50 minutes. After a fine move down the middle L. Munk nearly gave the home side a goal after 85 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Hapoel were very close to putting themselves one up after 89 minutes as R. Saglovic got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Hapoel claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

Hapoel's best player was R. Saglovic. V. Rumyantsev turned in a dismal performance, however. Aboudinger's top performer was clearly I. Trèmol. However, Y. Abud made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
