Mponatsos 15 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Argeiakos. Argeiakos solidified their lead at the 17 minute mark, as L. Boots dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Argeiakos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Players in LERIAKOS heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. The away team improved the scoreline to 2 - 1, as M. Haapio struck home, set up well by a play on the left 73 minutes into the match. It was obvious that team Argeiakos had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. P. Lorandi caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 86 minutes. This gave Argeiakos the 3 - 2 lead. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Argeiakos to 4 - 2 as G. Mazzarri finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Cheers filled the stadium as A. Del Curto broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 2 to Argeiakos. The players of Argeiakos now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 89 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as G. Mazzarri broke through, making the score 6 - 2 for Argeiakos. Argeiakos had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

The most dominating Argeiakos player was without a doubt G. Mazzarri. M. Hrouzek on the other hand, had a terrible day. P. Filoukatzis performed admirably for LERIAKOS. However, A. Kolomitrousis made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 2.
