Confident in their lead, Amfiloxias's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Amfiloxias had to make a substitution after 38 minutes. S. Vallée limped off the field and was replaced by V. Prevezanos. 42 minutes into the game a free kick by J. Gómez found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Amfiloxias's lead 0 - 4. The home crowd cheered when, after 44 minutes, B. Cousyn's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 44 minutes in, kiriakos's M. Tarantakis received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Amfiloxias were forced into a substitution as K. Kratzbaum couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing K. Siagris to come in off the bench. S. Vesteren became the new Amfiloxias captain. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Amfiloxias enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 81 percent of possession.

S. Teige was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by A. Lario, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. Campoo's lack of experience almost gave kiriakos a goal after 87 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. The Amfiloxias free kick 88 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of S. Vesteren, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 7! kiriakos's E. Stamatakos was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 88 minutes. S. Teige received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 89 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 8. The Amfiloxias fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Unsportsmanlike behaviour by E. Stamatakos rendered him his second booking of the match, and kiriakos had to finish the game with a reduced squad. 89 minutes into the game, Amfiloxias worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Possession in this half belonged to Amfiloxias, who controlled the ball 87 percent of the time.
