(381371304)

11-08-2012 11.30
49766 spectators arrived at
Vesmirny Kotel, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Gerald Falkner was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Co Leeuwangh and
Paulo Casal.
Vesmiru started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Frydrych - Czuba, Kutlu, Guevara - Zangi, Bruun, Šofr, Ondříšek, Di Nicola - Lixó, Fráňa.
Drakes had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation.
Lineup: Pajares - Mikkilä, Smrčina, Sévénier, Ballotta - Mrázek, Bartholomay, Bindler, Berga, Righetti - Röhrich.
Vesmiru were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
Attacking on the wings was the choice for Vesmiru, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack.
Vesmiru were very close to putting themselves one up after 3 minutes as
Q. Lixó got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
Q. Lixó scored for Vesmiru putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 10 minutes.
Vesmiru were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
After 11 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
V. Šofr gave the Vesmiru supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Vesmiru to 3 - 0 as
T. Bruun finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
By now, the players in Vesmiru felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Vesmiru's
E. Kutlu refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 24 minutes.
3 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Vesmiru, with 59 percent of the ball.
P. Sévénier really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by
J. Righetti after a corner.
B. Ondříšek almost put Vesmiru ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide.
The home side's
B. Ondříšek came close to extending the lead 73 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
N. Pajares managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
After 85 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Vesmiru's
M. Fráňa being carried off the pitch and replaced by
Ž. Samėnas.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Drakes tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
O. Mrázek slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 3 - 1, 86 minutes into the game.
Vesmiru enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.
Most important Vesmiru player was
V. Šofr.
E. Kutlu turned in a dismal performance, however.
Drakes's top performer was clearly
J. Röhrich.
However,
S. Berga made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 3 - 1.
