Dark skies made the crowd of 54606 at
Land of the free and the home of the brave a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Mehmet İlknur was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Carlo Übelhardt and
Efim Galkin.
Kondoři decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Pohořelský - Petter, Skibiński, Pereyra - Budagov, Přívara, Komín, Zubr, Steffensen - Pothmann, Hökskär.
Jojini started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Jojini.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 3 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
P. Pereyra, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
After 8 minutes,
J. Komín put Kondoři ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.

S. Budagov saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 28 minutes.

3 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Kondoři had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.
After 58 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
E. Steffensen might have resulted in another goal for Kondoři. However,
Z. Tlołka made a spectacular save.
With the clock showing 62 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Kondoři resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
L. Zubr in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
The visitors' right side was dangerous today;
Y. Montero made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 3 - 1 65 minutes into the match.
Jojini's
D. Padula refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 68 minutes.
A well placed corner kick from
B. Hökskär was followed by
L. Petter's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Kondoři, the score now 4 - 1.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Kondoři lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Possession in this half belonged to Kondoři, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.
Kondoři's top performer was clearly
L. Pohořelský.
