Muglinov 2 - 4 Jerza
(381371402)

23-06-2012 11.30
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 47002 to
Fortuna Arena.
Kay-Botho Staunig was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Darren Quintero and
Marc Fraisse.
Muglinov had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
Lineup: Maglio - Bucak, Antonsen - Umaña, Řeřicha, Ravillo, Vega, Barriga - Revshøj, Wahlberg, Riffaud.
Jerza decided to use a 5-2-3 set up.
The following players took the field: Batěk - Melichar, Yding, Kmošek, Šilhavý, Sylwestrzak - Pinta, Hrabal - Trenev, Vrbský, Hochart.
Jerza were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
The goal to make it 0 - 1 was scored by
V. Vrbský after 8 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by Jerza.
After 14 minutes, Muglinov's
T. Wahlberg swiftly ran past
R. Šilhavý and nutmegged the keeper! 1 - 1.
Jerza mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 35 minutes, but
V. Vrbský was unable to convert from short range.
Muglinov's opponents know to be wary of
H. Barriga's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 36 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive!
P. Revshøj's speed was clear to see after 37 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released
M. Riffaud who placed the ball into the back of the net to make the score 2 - 1.
Muglinov's
M. Vega placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but
B. Antonsen couldn't finish.
Muglinov's
T. Wahlberg saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 39 minutes.
P. Revshøj should probably have put his team up another goal after 41 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
F. Batěk kept the visitors in the game.
Jerza's
R. Šilhavý was shown a yellow card after 42 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
2 - 1 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Muglinov, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.
F. Batěk was caught napping as
M. Riffaud lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms.
A swift counterattack by Jerza resulted in a free kick that
Y. Trenev elegantly twisted into the goal - 2 - 2!
Muglinov created a good opportunity to score 59 minutes into the match when
M. Riffaud's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball.
After a fine move down the middle
T. Wahlberg nearly gave the home side a goal after 63 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
What ever got into
M. Vega, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through his own defence - ending up right in front of Jerza's
V. Vrbský, who easily put the ball away for 2 - 3 after 66 minutes.
Z. Kmošek was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Jerza's defence 69 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 2 - 4.
Muglinov needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes
T. Wahlberg made way for
C. Gheza.
The Muglinov coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy.
The Muglinov players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team.
80 minutes into the game,
F. Bucak had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
D. Lotz.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Muglinov's
R. Ravillo was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 80 minutes.
J. Beneitez was given a chance to change things around.
P. Revshøj almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
R. Umaña got himself booked. The manager of Muglinov was not happy.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Muglinov, with 73 percent of the ball.
Muglinov's top performer was clearly
P. Revshøj.
However,
D. Lotz made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating Jerza player was without a doubt
L. Hrabal.
J. Sylwestrzak was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 4.
