Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 55942 to Tango Arena. Folker Schlesien was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Boško Abdić and Bohuš Pícha. PTeam decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Simon - Nistor, Ferina, Sulanen - Rosenberg, Böspflug, Titz, Görgs, Šimčík - Martins, Çapın.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Sokol. The following players took the field: Wicht - Otazo, Gilliam, Groenewold - Barbulović, Šácha, Ságner, Pincemin, Ghibuldan - Turnbull, Zarattini.

PTeam created a good opportunity to score 9 minutes into the match when M. Görgs's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. The guests almost went up by a goal after 10 minutes when F. Zarattini came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. After 19 minutes, W. Gilliam sent the corner kick right to F. Zarattini who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 1! Had it not been for one of the home defenders, F. Zarattini would have put Sokol up another goal 28 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. PTeam's A. Martins almost tied things up with 34 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. C. Nistor got left behind when Sokol's D. Ghibuldan made a sudden run forward after 35 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 0 - 2! Confident in their lead, Sokol's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. PTeam's V. Titz managed a superb strike from the left after 39 minutes that would have left goalkeeper J. Wicht without a chance, had it not hit the post. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Sokol had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 60 minutes, PTeam did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, S. Çapın was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 2. With the scoreboard showing that 67 minutes had been played, Sokol nearly put themselves up another goal after F. Otazo came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. A handball in the penalty area gave the home team a penalty 68 minutes into the match, and E. Böspflug was able to score, taking the scoreline to 2 - 2. PTeam's E. Ferina had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 71 minutes having been played. J. Bazhko was the replacement. Sokol claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Most important PTeam player was A. Martins. C. Nistor on the other hand, had a terrible day. Sokol's top performer was clearly F. Šácha. P. Turnbull was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
