Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 33445 to Do kapsy. Gonzalo Reiriz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ivan Mygind and Tomek Kapela. A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Nekopnem. They fielded: Kroupa - Lánský, Zbróg, Hlas, Fila, Podaný - Hanzal, Kortus, Jandásek, Novák - Štěpina.

1.F.c. had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. Starters: Bránsky - Acquaroni, Katermaa - Panseri, Bagnoli, Petersen, Carlsson, Fagernes - Günes, Begus, Nikko.

Nekopnem clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. After 9 minutes, 1.F.c. put themselves up 0 - 1, as J. Günes finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. With 17 minutes having been played, Nekopnem scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but J. Kortus was marked down as the scorer. Having turned the direction of play quickly, the Nekopnem counter attack ended as the ball carrier was brought down violently by a defender after 33 minutes. The resulting free kick was a flat shot into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and did not allow the opponents to reach the ball. The crowd gasped as V. Bagnoli of 1.F.c. was flattened by an opponent after 39 minutes and had to be carried off. A. Millán came in off the bench. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. 1.F.c. claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

B. Kroupa looked great 52 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' M. Petersen. 65 minutes into the game, B. Fagernes was a hair's breadth away from giving 1.F.c. the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by B. Kroupa saved the home team that time. Nekopnem almost scored after a swift counterattack 66 minutes into the game, but P. Štěpina put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. M. Nikko came close to putting the visiting team one up 69 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but B. Kroupa managed to tip the ball to a corner. B. Hanzal made a quick rush after 79 minutes, but T. Katermaa had no problems keeping up the pace and stopped the attack. 1.F.c. enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.

E. Podaný performed admirably for Nekopnem. L. Hlas turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating 1.F.c. player was without a doubt M. Nikko. A. Millán was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 1.
