(381372023)

28-07-2012 11.30
The 29783 spectators at
Řečkovičtí chemici Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Christoffer Thøgersen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mousa Mustafa and
Miguel Ortega.
Řečkovičtí tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Gavrilã - Helmink, Monzón Benito, Mousikos - Arhire, Delger, Drobnak, Kupka, Idzenga - Kuzmanović, Bartoníček.
AC/DC decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Venuti - Stetsuk, Molnár, Troio - Séchet, Riseth, Makoś, Jimeno, Modzelewski - Horecký, van der Mije.
This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when
H. van der Mije slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against
Z. Gavrilã, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes.
Řečkovičtí's
D. Idzenga's long shot really ought to have found the net 9 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target.
AC/DC took the lead 22 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
U. Troio was the scorer.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Řečkovičtí's
D. Idzenga somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
D. Bartoníček, who struck for 1 - 1.
At 42 minutes played,
R. Delger came in from the right with the intention of giving Řečkovičtí the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
1 - 1 was the halftime score.
AC/DC had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
After 51 minutes,
A. Jimeno sent the corner kick right to
K. Molnár who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 2!
The heat made it a terrible day for
D. Bartoníček, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players.
Řečkovičtí's
A. Kuzmanović made a successful breakthrough on the left after 62 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar.
Řečkovičtí needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes
R. Drobnak made way for
S. Zbořil.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
H. van der Mije after 72 minutes, and prevented AC/DC from going up another goal.
77 minutes into the game,
V. Arhire had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
J. Dlouhý.
Řečkovičtí's
R. Delger almost tied things up with 80 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post.
After 85 minutes of play,
J. Kupka equalised for Řečkovičtí after an elegant attack from the right.
AC/DC took the lead after 86 minutes making the score 2 - 3.
F. Séchet placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.
T. Pospíchal was called on to replace AC/DC's
F. Séchet after 88 minutes following a nasty collision.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
A. Jimeno found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
The visitors'
T. Pospíchal took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 89 minutes into the match. 2 - 4 for AC/DC.
AC/DC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
Řečkovičtí's top performer was clearly
D. Idzenga.
D. Bartoníček on the other hand, had a terrible day.
A. Jimeno performed admirably for AC/DC.
On the other hand,
T. Pospíchal's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 4.
