Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 48867 to FC Garaz club Arena. Sam Van Coillie was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lauri Korhonen and Juan Larrique. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Garaz. They fielded: Ptáček - Šereda, Richieri - Svátek, Bořek, Švec, Tuszyński, Okhrimenko - Osterroth, Tonfoni, Jimack.

Hasan had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Starters: Matěj - Paulus, Müller, Strýček - Tábořík, Vorlík, Pivoňka, Kostelník - Cocca, Zreeqat, Ille.

The visiting P. Pivoňka was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 25 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. With 30 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Kostelník of Hasan to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as C. Tonfoni tried lifting the ball over keeper J. Matěj. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. J. Richieri missed a penalty after 41 minutes, seemingly unable to stay focused for the shot. Garaz had a brilliant opportunity to reply as I. Okhrimenko received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only J. Matěj's reflexes saved him. After 43 minutes, J. Osterroth had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for Garaz with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Garaz had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

After 60 minutes, Garaz switched K. Švec with D. Nolf, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. J. Jimack challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 60 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. After 65 minutes, Hasan's Q. Zreeqat surprised everyone as he managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 0 - 3. Hasan had to make a substitution after 86 minutes. M. Kostelník limped off the field and was replaced by S. Brukner. 87 minutes into the match, Garaz's D. Nolf collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 1 - 3. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when J. Richieri tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. J. Matěj was too alert for that! Possession in this half belonged to Garaz, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

Most important Garaz player was C. Tonfoni. However, J. Šereda made a disastrous appearance. Hasan's best player was Q. Zreeqat. S. Brukner was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
